Domain Searching and Registering with NetworkSolutions
NetworkSolutions is another option available to you for searching and registering domain names, as referenced in the article How to Create a Domain Name.
NetworkSolutions provides you the ability to enter a maximum of 10 names to be searched at one time along with any extensions or TLDs you like (e.g. .com, .net, .org, etc). When you perform the search, NetworkSolutions will find all the names you entered along with all the TLDs and show you what is available or not. The search results not only show the TLDs you are interested in, but it also shows the results for all other TLDs. You can perform multiple searches and the search results will retain all previous searches along with the new ones.
There is also an advanced search feature that allows you to enter different keywords. Once you do the search, NetworkSolutions combines the keywords you entered to create domain names. It then shows you which ones are available. In case you get stumped and you’re at a loss for more keywords, the site provides you with some other similar keywords to choose from that can be combined to create new domain names. Again, the different names that are available to you are retained so that you can then add them to your shopping cart when you’re ready.
This site provides more services than just searching and registering domain names. NetworkSolutions also provides:
- Web hosting for both business and personal websites
- Online marketing to help drive traffic to your site
- Virtual private servers
- Website packages to choose from, which include the “do it yourself” or the “all inclusive” package
- Web design services
- Business services
- E-commerce packages for your website
- Email accounts
- Website security services
- etc.
If you want to learn more about other products offered by NetworkSolutions we would suggest you check them out directly. They have a 1-800 number to call for assistance, but it’s only good in the US.
Personally we have not used the services provided by NetworkSolutions but it’s only fair to give you another option you can check out. If you choose to use NetworkSolutions, let us know about your experience with them.
Cheers!
