High traffic numbers can be difficult to achieve if you don’t know what strategies are available to you – the webmaster. If you have a website and want to grow your traffic there are a few things you can do without necessarily opting for the pay-per-click (PPC) or search engine optimization (SEO) option. So, what are the tricks? What other methods can you use? Well, there are quite a few things that you can do. But first let’s take a look at P-P-C.

Although you may not want to invest in P-P-C, you do need to know that advertising in P-P-C search engines does not necessarily mean that you’ll be spending a lot of money. Most people instantly think of Google Adwords when the words pay-per-click come to mind. However, there are other search engines which you should not ignore because they could save you a ton of money, while giving you much greater traffic results. If you’re not currently using MSN or Yahoo Search for your P-P-C or more recently Bing.com, you’re losing a lot of money. You could be getting cheaper traffic if you consider these more under-the-radar search engines.

You may think that these sites are not as popular. But even if these sites have less traffic, you need to realize that you’re also going to have less competition. So that’s one thing to think about. So, many people want to focus on Google, but there are so many other search engines that could give you some excellent results.

Now, if you’re using SEO to gain traffic, you should also consider other strategies like press releases, articles and doing videos. If you’re not doing these things, I would really suggest you consider branching off into areas like these for your site’s marketing. In terms of article marketing, the ultimate goal is to begin writing one article a day. Now, if you can get to the point where you’re writing one article a day, that’s huge! You’re going to be able to get a lot of traffic. Once you do that, also consider submitting articles to sites like EzineArticles.com as well as other article directory sites for even more traffic. You’ll be very surprise at the results you’ll get.
