A Facebook Advertising Experience – Post 12

eMillionaire/EZ Net Income Program Experience – Module 6.

I think I’ve kept you in suspense long enough since my last post about Module 5. As it turns out, when I started Module 6, it did not pick up from the rude and abrupt ending from Module 5 as I was hoping. What was provided in the nearly one hour video was a review of several of The Lab Student’s websites.

While reviewing several of the student’s websites, Brock provided advice especially on how to test ads. The students on the call seemed to have found the lesson very valuable. One of the testing tools mentioned was an online site previously introduced by Brock, http://www.ispionage.com/ mentioned in an earlier module.

Some of the highlights shared with students during this video were:

  • What is considered a good click-through rate?
    • 4.68% click-through and 4.3% conversation-rate was considered pretty good by Brock and his team.
  • Where could ads be tested?
    • It was suggested to try it out with AdSense, Yahoo and MSN
  • Where should one start their daily budget?
    • Look to budget 100 actions for each ad to have valid testing.
    • He suggests about $20-$100 per day.
  • Can you run ads directly to an Affiliate landing page?
    • Yes, but there are rules that limit this. Make sure to check with the Affiliate.
    • He suggests creating at least a review page (one prior to moving to the Affiliate’s page) so it’s possible to capture reader’s contact information in exchange for newsletters or other free information. This way you would be able to start to build your own contact list.
  • What should be tested in an ad or compared between ads?
    • There are 4 parts to test in an ad: 1) Header, 2) Body, 3) Call to Action, and 4) Landing Page.

I’d like to take a moment to review these points. Below is an example of an Google Ad:

Google Ad Example

Google Ad Example

The Header is the first line of this particular ad (i.e. Secret Weight Loss Pill). It’s the catch phrase that get’s people wanting to read more.

The Body resides under the header and provides some interesting information to potential buyers (i.e. Lose 10 pounds in 7 days. Free Sample).

A Call to Action is what the ad is asking the reader to do or what they get (i.e. Get it Now!).

And finally, the Landing Page is where the link in the ad is going to take the potential buyer (i.e. www.FeelGoodFatBurner.com). The Landing Page itself needs to be tweaked to ensure it is very welcoming to the potential buyer. For example, make sure the Landing Page is similar (phrases and pictures) to the ad so the potential buyers are sure they have arrived where they expected to.

Of course there was more but I can’t give away all the secrets. But at least here I have highlighted a few of the suggestions provided in the video in regards to ad testing.

Cheers
