eMillionaire/EZ Net Income Program Experience – WordPress Tutorial

This post of the eMillionarie/EZ Net Income experience is about the WordPress video tutorials that totalled about 12 minutes over 3 videos – short and to the point. However, these video tutorials were not as easy to follow as the previous Adwords and Advanced Adwords tutorials.

Unfortunately, the instructor changed from Wes to Shannon and it seemed to me that the new instructor made assumptions of his viewers like me, regarding their “technical” familiarity with the product WordPress. I mention this since Shannon made assumptions that his viewer’s were familiar with HTML coding in WordPress, by mentioning that he used the product Dreamweaver to change HTML code in WordPress to create his own template.

As you may know, if you have been following Trish’s and my blog, we have been working with WordPress for quite some time now. As a result I was excited about this tutorial in hopes of learning a new way to use WordPress as a general user. However, some of the information went right over my head due to my lack of technical ability. Maybe Trish will have better luck with this video, since she is more technically inclined!

But I forged ahead and didn’t let my lack of technical ability freeze me. Therefore, I was able to see how to apply the silo site structure I learned from the Advanced Adwords tutorials to a WordPress site. A great example was also provided at the address http://www.brockhealth.com/ which at the time of this journal was active.

The tutorials also introduced the concept of creating WordPress post templates (text, pictures, etc.) to help create posts more quickly. Unfortunately, the “how to create the templates” was lost on me in the “HTML talk” from Shannon the instructor.

Regardless of not knowing how to do HTML coding, I do know that I would like to set up such templates to make some of my posts possibly more efficient to write (and quicker to read) in the future. I also know, at a high level, how to apply a silo site structure to WordPress. I’ve been told through many grapevines that finding HTML WordPress programmers is easy. I’ll let you know how true that is when I’m ready to actually create another WordPress site for my own business adventure – coming soon!
