A Facebook Advertising Experience – Foreword
I just finished going through all the material available on the eMillionaire site which was sold to me as the “EZNet Income Google Money System”. I was tuned into this material from a Facebook advertisement which indicated that I could have access to the EZNet Income Google Money System, at only the cost of $1.95 US ($2.57 Cdn) shipping and handling. I took the chance and was given access to the eMillionaire site on March 5th, 2009.
However, as I later found out, this process wasn’t very smooth as I was very confused about whether I signed up for a product that was to be mailed to me in 10 days, or, an online subscription where the monthly fee of $47 US ($61.73 Cdn) would start to be charged after the trial period of 7 days.
Well, I did go through all the material by Mar 21st and as a general summary I have to say that even though the quality of the video/audio was not the greatest, at times I found many gems within the material.
Brock Felt, the creator of the program, seems genuinely concerned for his students and ensures they are making good use of the information he’s providing. Had I signed up for the full package back in December of 2008, I could have been part of The Lab Students, but unfortunately I missed that. However, I did get is access to many videos from the various webinars Brock held for his students, tutorials, reviews of student case studies (a total of 7½ hours), links to sites/tools, names of experts, and lots of free content. The Lab Students got a minimum of 8 weeks of live calls, one on one mentoring, website templates, access to proprietary software, and much more. I don’t begrudge The Lab Students as I only paid a total of $48.95 US ($64.30 Cdn) for the many gems I got.
As I went through this program, I did encounter a few issues:
- I was extremely confused as to whether I signed up for a product that was to be mailed to me, or if it was an online subscription.
- It was also unclear to me what I actually purchased with the shipping and handling fee that I paid – was it the Google Cash product indicating Google pays a certain amount out daily which is what I saw advertised on Facebook? Or did I purchase a product from the EZNet Income Google Money System? Or did I get the monthly subscription to the eMillionaire site? At this point I “think” the $48.95 US ($64.30 Cdn) subscription fee got me access to the eMillionaire site but I’m still not sure what the $1.95 shipping and handling got me
- On March 6th I was charged on my credit card for the so called shipping and handling fee of $1.95 US ($2.57 Cdn) for a product that, as of March 20th should have arrived in the mail but hadn’t.
- I wanted to contact eMillionaire by email about the issue of the product not arriving in the mail and the associated charge, however when I looked at the Contact Us page I found no contact information available at all! Good thing I retained my confirmation page with the toll free number.
- Since I bought this program and went onto the site on Mar 5th, no new material had been posted. Since I’m expected to pay a monthly subscription I ask, “Why should I continue to pay?” It’s been nearly 4 weeks since I logged on and if no new material has been added since then, of what value is it to me?
Am I still OK with what I’ve paid so far? Even with the issues mentioned above and my being mislead in regards to what I was paying for, I believe the gems I did get from the online material was worth the total cost of $48.95 US I’ve paid to date. I haven’t had a chance to put any of the information gained into action yet, but there are some really good items, and I’ll highlight some of them as I journal my experience with this content in future posts .
So overall, yes, it was worth signing up and paying the shipping and handling fee even if I didn’t get anything (doesn’t mean I won’t be spending some time trying to get it back!), and the 1st subscription fee of $48.95 US ($64.30 Cdn) which was charged the day following the trial period on March 13th. However, once I learn what the story around the shipping and handling fee is, I’ll be cancelling my subscription. Also, I’ll be watching my credit card statements to ensure I’m not continued to be charged the fee.
Lessons Learnt: If you sign up for this program or one like this with a monthly subscription fee, remember to regularly assess if you’re getting value and make a conscious choice to keep paying for the subscription or cancelling it!
The following posts on this topic will be summaries of my journal as I went through the online program and as promised, I’ll highlight some of the gems Brock shared with me.
Stay tuned!
